Bonds of Love
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
Bonds of Love is a slow-paced adult visual novel, meaning you will not be mindlessly lusting after everything that walks on two legs, but rather will come to realise you want to be involved with the girls around you. You live out your school life in a house with three women, but meet many more, whose relationship to you is for you to decide. You can stick with the default landlady, flattie stuff, or you could be a little bit closer.
Choices matter in this game, but you won’t be locked into your path. Want to push a girl at the start but then be nice to her down the line? You can, and the game will often reflect that change. Now, this isn’t a game that allows you to end up in 10 different iterations depending on your choices, but your choices will make a notable difference, with no right or wrong ‘choices’ such as those where you can bizarrely get a game over or gate you out of content.
I’m also doing custom commissions, which can be anything you want as long as I have the assets for it. If you’re interested, the following is a rough pricing structure:
$5 minimum per custom render for one character, +$2 per extra character, but may be more depending on the complexity of the scene.
$10 minimum per custom animation, but this will increase depending on the length of the animation, the number of characters, the complexity of the animation, etc.

Personally, sharing Thalia with Gabriella simply makes me suspect that there is going to be a lot of lesbian sex and I don't like having to watch lesbian sex. So possibly in the end I'm going to say no.

Well, just finished and I did like this alot, the characters are great, the story is good. I would not have enjoy all of yet as you often have more than one option at a time to do. I might try again with the corruption route, could not do it to her the first time. Love mary and her change, interesting to see where you take clara, and was nice to see you not push sex onto every character yet.
Ooops, I went back to play corruption path, hated the way he treated tahlia. It came up the end again, but i clicked the mouse and realised it was still going.

Well, from my end, the difference is not that big so far, but will have more scenes coming up that are quite different. Essentially the corruption route is a way to see more hardcore content. I would've done it for more of the girls, but I don't have the time and Tahlia seemed like the best fit for that kind of path as there is the biggest juxtaposition between her two paths.

Hey thanks for letting me know. A quick Google search has just informed me that 2gb seems to be the limit for most devices. I'll look at compressing more for Android releases, and I'll probably release an updated version by this weekend.

I'm gonna be honest, I really liked this game. It was a cool game that even though it had a sandbox, it wasn't too annoying. Sure it had bugs, but it wasn't too bad. That said, adding NTR is where I draw the line. There were some sharing options where you could share MC's aunt with the cucky husband, but the fact that Mary is getting NTR is the last straw. I defended this game because it was generally pretty wholesome. There were interesting development, but yeah, there are some forced things that are just never gonna be my cup of tea, regardless of avoidable or not.
Mary was my favorite character going on because she had a "past" and it might have included sex with other guys, but you never leaned on it. It was like, she was starting over from scratch with MC, but now that you're like "but what if..." it puts a bad taste in my mouth. Instead of completing the transformation, you are instead adding a way for her to continue being that past self.
Just so you know, I'm a big hater of sharing/NTR content, but your game did a pretty good job of handling realistic situations, but adding real content and revealing some Unnecessary details about Mom, and all these characters. I'm done and it's sad.
First of all, I appreciate you posting in a way that wasn't just hyper critical and hateful for no reason. Everyone has their own preferences and it's just unfortunate that we have some misalignment. But I don't really understand specifically what you said about Mary. It sounds like you dislike the option of going for an NTR path? But for Mary in particular, there's a very clear path where she doesn't have anything to do with other guys, so I'm a little confused as to what you dislike there. Do you feel like even having the option of NTR is a negative thing?
To your last question, yes and no. The fact is, going into this game, it was Harem first and only. It was a story that reinforced the import of the main character. In literature and in almost every other media, there is an understanding of where a character stands and where it will resolve. A trait that tells you the reason they exist. Mom is the forbidden aspect; aunt is the lonely/attention seeking aspect; sister is the naive love aspect; older sis was a love lost aspect. In this respect, this game did this pretty well. There was an very interesting push and pull with MC's mother that kept it interesting and more importantly, REAL. Sure, you were gonna add sharing with MC's friends in school, the brother and sister, but it made sense for this way. I wasn't going to do it, but the option was there and it was fine.
That said, the author has the responsibility to see a specific character's trait to the end. Mary's WHOLE story is that she's fucked up and MC's aunt tells you to help/heal her. In the game there are often times when you can abuse that trust and take advantage of this way. There is a complex aspect in that kind of storytelling, I won't pick it, but I respect it being told. A character born of some purpose needs to fulfill that purpose and until adding the NTR, you WERE fulfilling that purpose.
In my view, you decided that it was no longer important to focus on that purpose. Instead, you wanted fetishes. NTR is one, and you added it with Mary arbitrarily. The girl who's whole angle is healing, all of a sudden has a rape/NTR path? You asked me if having the option bothers me, it does because the conceit of her character, in my opinion, is thrown out. The character built up by your earlier updates amounts to a fetish folder of the most fucked up things you could add. THAT is why it bothered me.
I'm also a writer and have a game. But even if I wasn't, I wouldn't do that. You could have made ANY new character and added a story like that, but you choose to do it with Mary the one person in this VN that could use a break.
Anyway, I don't mean to batter you with my critique. It's your game, you do what you want. I'm just disappointed cause through all the other people complaining about the game and the bugs and systems/sandbox, I really enjoyed it. It sounded pretty wholesome, not so much anymore.

I agree with most of what you said, but that path isn't just a fetish. For me, Mary was the best one for the NTR option, because it represents the extreme regression and essentially falling back into the dark pit forever after being given a glimpse of the light. As the mc, the choice was yours to pull her out fully and be her shield or fall in with her.
I certainly could've written it better as I do not claim to be a particularly good writer, but I feel the concept is still faithful to Mary's theme.
Anyway, that's the last thing I'll say. Appreciate the insight!
Is the NTR/rape part avoidable (ie can you make it not happen at all)? I'd rather know, because if it can't be avoided, it isn't worth trying the game, at least for me
All girls except Bella, Scarlett, and Gabriella will have paths for having sex only with you, but those three do have paths where at least you won't see sex scenes with other guys.
Well, there might be a path where Bella stops having sex with her brother and starts having sex only with the MC. Since there isn't, I prefer to send her to hell. And there might also be a way to avoid having sex with Scarlett.

After update, 1.3 i am stuck in a pickle. I cant skip time. Or do the kathy event where she wiggles her butt while getting out of the pool. It just gets errors and closes the game

yeah sorry the hotfix 1 was more meant for a new game as the wrong label gets baked into the save quite early. I've uploaded a better hotfix 1 that should fix it in place so you don't have to use an earlier save

So, I did have an android version in the past, but then one day it just stopped working and I couldn't figure out why. However, the good news is since you asked about it, I decided to try it on a different computer and it works! So, unless something goes terribly wrong, there'll be one for the next release
